Meet Dr. Jason Smithberger

Modern Dentistry Rooted in Compassion in Towson, Maryland

Dr. Jason Smithberger is passionate about delivering leading-edge, compassionate dentistry.

He graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University in 2002 and completed a Graduate Practice Residency at Ohio State University Hospital. Since then, he has continually expanded his expertise, studying under some of dentistry’s top educators including Frank Spear, Pete Dawson, and Mark Piper.

Dr. Smithberger is certified in Invisalign® orthodontics and is highly skilled in occlusal equilibration—a specialized process that can resolve TMJ dysfunction, headaches, severe tooth wear, and other bite-related issues. He enhances his precision with dental loupes and a xenon light during every procedure. Dr. Smithberger also has advanced training in TMJ treatment and oral appliance therapy for sleep apnea.

Outside the office, Dr. Smithberger enjoys family time with his wife Andrea and their five children—Lauren, John, Lucy, Joseph, and Lily. Dr. Smithberger volunteers at Baltimore City Young Life 20 weeks a year. He’s active in the Knights of Columbus and volunteers his dental expertise to organizations like Mission of Mercy and the Maryland Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped.
