At the core of our dental practice is a friendly team of professionals that are dedicated to your utmost comfort and optimal oral health.  We view each patient as a unique individual, and tailor each treatment to your specific needs.  As part of our commitment to providing close, personalized attention to every patient, we want to encourage patient communication.  Please know that we are here to provide outstanding patient care, and that we value the trust you have placed in us.

Brittany has been working with Dr. Smithberger for 8 years. Throughout your visit you'll see her in the back and at the front!   She previously worked as a dental assistant at a periodontal office for 3 years after completing the dental assisting program at Community College of Baltimore County. Brittany lives in the Parkville area with her daughter, son, and husband.

Carolyn Powers, Administrative Assistant

Carolyn is the first person you will see when you visit Dr. Smithbergers' office.  she's been here for a little over a year and a half. In 14 years working with the general public in positions such as teaching college, working retail, and working in the dental field, she has acquired the skills she needs to take care of all of your customer service needs.  Carolyn has two Associate's degrees from Harford Community College, and a Bachelor's in Historical Studies from Notre Dame of Maryland University. When she isn't working you can find her performing live music at local Baltimore venues, catch her in the gym, and spending time with her boyfriend and their Greyhound in the Parkville area. 

Jamie Praydis, CDA, Expanded Functions

Jamie has been working in dental for 15. 

 Anousheh Afghahi, CDA

Anousheh has been working with Dr. Smithberger here in our Towson office for almost 9 years. She started working with Dr. Smithberger after completing her dental assisting program at Community College of Baltimore County. In addition to working four days a week with Dr. Smithberger, she has taken the opportunity to work with other dentists and specialists in the area to widen her experience. Anousheh is bilingual in English and Persian. She enjoys assisting and providing dental services to our patients to help them obtain good oral health. Anousheh lives in the area with her husband and two children.

Angie Glikin, RDH, B.S.

Angie has been working with Dr. Smithberger here at our Towson office for 15 years. She has been practicing dental hygiene for 19 years since she graduated from the University of Maryland Dental Hygiene Program in 1999. Prior to working with Dr. Smithberger, she worked in a periodontal practice for several years. She truly enjoys helping her patients achieve optimal periodontal and dental health through periodontal therapy and encouraging them as they strive to improve their home care. Angie lives in the Hereford area with her husband, three children, and dog.
